Closing Word 2003 issue

We get an intemittent problems with users - if they have multiple Word docs
open - and they close one - then all the Word docs close

Runnng XP Pro SP2 with all latest Office patches


Any ideas anyone ?!

This is the handwriting recognition bug. Use Office Setup and remove the
handwriting recognition from under Alternative Inputs. Restart Word and test
again. It should now be OK and safe to add the handwriting recognition
again (if you need it).

Note if you use handwriting recognition then you don't need to
uninstall it. Simply removing it and adding it back should resolve the
issue:

- Open your Control Panel
- Open Regional and Language Settings (or Text Services for Windows
2000)
- Select the Language tab
- Click Details
- Remove Handwriting Recognition
- Add Handwriting Recognition back if you are using it.
