Closing Word 2007

Everytime I close out of Word 2007 it goes to a white screen until I force a
close out. Does anybody know why this is happening and if so, where should I
go to correct the problem?

Incompatible third party add-in that is using overriding Word's command.
Check to see what add-ins are active - usually they are in the Word Startup
folder.

Terry,

I thought that was the case and we've used the \a after the exe command to
cut off access to add-ins. This appeard to fix it but then I'm not able to
save any defaults and (more importantly) I'm still having the problem of not
being able to close if I open an existing word document.
