Closing Word causes Error

Sporadically, when closing a Word document (with or without making
modificatiions), I get an Error message & Word has to shut down (I've managed
to rescue 3 Error Signatures: "AppName: windword.exe, AppVer: 10.0.6804.0,
ModName: unknown, ModVer: 0.0.0.0 and Offset: 3500535" Help :O)

Since I've had no response to this message, let me elaborate. I'm using Word
2002 (SP3) on a relatively new machine (Gateway Profile 5.5) with Windows XP
5.1 (SP2). When I close a Word document, I am randomly prompted with "Word
has encountered a problem and needs to close..." (see note below). Please
help.

Try working through the troubleshooting steps at
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm .
Shutdown problems can be caused by the same things as startup
problems.
