cmd and protected doc

Terry

Hello
Is there anyway to protect my document but allow the user to click a command
button? I do not want the user to select textboxes or change text, only
read it and click on a command button.

Thank you so much

There are ways to make it harder, but there is no way to completely prevent
your document from being edited by a sufficiently knowledgeable and
determined user.

What is your overall objective here?

My objective is not to prevent the user from making changes, because I will
disable the save. But I do not want the inconvenience of the user deleting
information and then asking where it went.
Document security is not too important, because it will be on CD where they
cannot resave it.
I just thought I would simply protect the doc but allow the cmd button to be
clicked (to bring up a userform).
The knowlege of the users could be to a high degree, so I know that there
is no way to totally protect the document.

Thank you so much
