Cntl+Ins for Copy

In Outlook 2003 both Ctl+c and Ctl+Ins could be used as “Copy†shortcut keys.
Now in Qutlook 2007 only the Ctl+c works. How can I get the Ctl+ins to work
as well?

Thanks for any help.

That's a good one and the option to change that behavior isn't too obvious.
The option to toggle that is linked to the option to use the Insert button
for Paste. Apparently Microsoft considers the fact that combined with the
CTRL key it acts as Copy, a side effect ;-)

You can find the option to change it here;
Tools-> Options-> Mail Format-> Editor Options...-> Advanced-> section Cut,
copy, and paste-> option Use the Insert key for paste.

Thank you for the response. I followed the the steps you outlined, and
Ctl+Ins now works within a message but it still doesn't work in the
Navigation pane on the main window. Any suggestions on that problem? Thanks

Yes, but what do you expect it to copy? The Navigation Pane itself is only a
list. If you expected it to copy a selected folder name then you're out of
luck.

I am sorry, I used the wrong name. I meant to say the "Reading Pane". The
area that is used to preview messages. In Outlook 2003 if I highlighted
something in there and did Ctl+Ins the highlighted stuff was put into the
clipboard. In outlook 2007 that no longer works. However, it still works
that way in other Office 2007 areas. Hopefully you can help me to get this
working and I don't have to retrain my fingers. Thanks.
