I am having an impossible time getting Headings into a document without
interfering with Paragraph Level Numbering. I have a custom outline Template
that has 9 Paragraph Levels formatted the way I like them. Then I apply a
Heading to some or all of the Paragraph so that it will appear in the Table
of Contents. However, applying Heading 1 to my Level 1 Paragraphs causes the
Level 2 Paragraphs not to read the Level 1, and so they don't reset. For
example, I have Article 1 (Level 1), then Section 1.1 (Level 2) and Section
1.2 (Level 2), then Article 2 (Level 1) and Section 2.1 (Level 2). If I
apply Heading 1 to Article 2, it retains its sequence, (i.e. Article 2), but
the next Level 2 Paragraph numbers do not reset, so that instead of Section
2.1 I get Section 1.3. Any suggestions?
