Code for email reminder of appt - or other solutions?

Hi folks

I would like to send myself an email (to one or more addresses) when
recurrent event is a few days away (e.g. my dear Mother's birthday).

Any hints on how to do this?

Any VB code available?

Thanks for the reply Milly,

I can (and have) set the reminder feature of the calendar to XX days
As you know, a friendly reminder popup/noise-maker alerts me to th
event. But, I'm looking for Outlook to send an e-mail (to one or mor
addresses) as an alert of the event, not just the defaul
pop-up/noise-maker combo.

Any advice on getting Outlook 2003 to send an E-MAIL as a reminder?
