Code for selecting all data in a form's field

Hi,

What I would like help for; I need a code for selecting
all data in a single field in a form on click. This
behaviour should be simular to the behaviour of using
[tab]. When you press tab, all data in the next (tab
control) field is selected, and so can be instantly
overwrited. How do I do this for an "on click" event? To
avoid mistakes: the field in concern is a numeric field.
