Code page error on installation

Hi there,

During the installation of MS Project Server 2003 I get the folowing error
message:

"The Windows locale settings on this computer prohibit a connection to the
database. Change the locale settings to support code page 850 before
attempting to connect to database PROJECTEN"

I am installing on the server (Windows 2000 SP4, Regional Settings: English
(United States)) with a local SQL Server (SP3). On the SQL Server I've
installed a database "PROJECTEN" with the installation scripts on the
installation CD. The sp_helpsort command on the database gives the folowing
information: "Latin1-General, case-insensitive, accent-insensitive,
kanatype-insensitive, width-insensitive for Unicode Data, SQL Server Sort
Order 44 on Code Page 850 for non-Unicode Data"

I can't figure out what the problem might be. Both the regional settings on
the server and the supported sortorder do not seem to be out of sync.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Peter.

Dear Dusan,

I've encountered this article earlier, but I can't make it work.

The first method points to information available on the 2002 version. The
same information doesn't seem to be available for the 2003 version.

The second method puzzles me about the keys which has to be available in the
registry. I've tried different options (850, 850/850, 1252/850, etc.). Can
you advise about this?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Peter
