code signing certificate

how can I deploy an office word template containing a macro signed with
a certificate?
this file will only be used in my company so I can request a
certificate from our own enterprise certificate server
and so I did... but when trying to sign the macro with the created
certificate I got an error saying the signing will be discarded
so my question is what the right procedure is to get a valid
certificate to sign the macro with?
