code to display a custom daloge box

Brad Semcek

I am using excel X for mac. I have created a custom dialoge box. I am
having trouble adding a command button to display the dialoge box in
the worksheet. The book I am referencing is for excel 2000 for
windows. It says to add a command button from the control toolbox bar.
I can't seem to find this toolbar yet alone a command button. I'm sure
that due to my inexperience, I'm overlooking the obvious. Any help is
greatly appreciated. Thank You.

The problem (if you want to call it that) is that the Mac does not have a
Control Toolbar--those are ActiveX controls that are not supported on Macs.
Instead, use the Forms Toolbar, which also has a pushbutton. These controls
will work on either platform.

Simply click on the (command) button icon in the Forms Toolbar to select it,
then draw the button where you want it. A dialog will open for assigning the
macro (Sub) you want the button to execute.
