Coding auto member list disappears too quickly.

While entering code after I type me. I used to get a list of available
objects for selection and quick typing. I still have the auto member list
flag set but the list goes away about 2 seconds after I type the dot after
me. Is there another setting somewhere that controls this behavior. I also
noticed that when I type an = sign the syntax changes from xxx = to xxx=
before I can type what it is equal to. Very frustrating.

If you have an active timer on one form that is going, that will cause that
behavior.
