I have built a database that records my compliance with some training standards. I have used decimal numbers to represent the key for each element but need to record the element numbers using a mixture of text and numbers. I have put a text box on the screen and want to build an event to do this conversion for me. How can I do this.

You want to convert from something to something, using some kind of event.
Decimal numbers and a mixture of text and numbers are somehow involved.

How would you advise someone to proceed, given this information?
