Coding for the Calendar Control?????

I am using a Calendar Control 11.0 on a form. I have set the control source
to a field in the underlying table. When I add a new record, I would like to
simply click the date on the calendar control and have it entered into the
field. However, when I click on the control, nothing happens. Do I need to
write some code for one or more properties of the control? Help please.

Your underlying table should show the date you clicked on without any coding
involved. Is your form's recordsource the table? As you proceed thru the
records, the date will be recorded in the table.

Actually, I have identified the form's recordsource as the table in
question. Still, when I click on a date, nothing happens. If I then go to
the underlying table, no date has been placed in the table. Maybe the
question I should ask is how does one create a new record? I have been going
to the navigation bar at the bottom and clicking on >* to create a new
record. If I am starting with a clean table with no records in it, I can
create the first record with no problems. However, when I try to create the
second record that is the point at which when I click on the date I want
from the calendar, nothing happens. Why is this not working.
