Coexisting 2002 and 2003 clients

I currently have Project 2002 Pro installed on my desktop and I am
basically accessing *.mpp files on our network.

We have just installed Project Server 2003 on a box and I am about to
arrange to have the Project 2003 Pro client installed on my desktop.

Can the two products coexist? I would rather the new install NOT take
on the characteristics of the old (i.e., the settings that have been
made in the current installation -- views/filters/tables/ and other
settings). Or is that all tied to the project MPP file? I want to
start "fresh".

How should I go about doing the install to keep the two separate or is
that even possible?

Thanks,

Uninstall Microsoft Project 2002 from your desktop PC and then install
Microsoft Project 2003 in its place. The first time you launch Project
2003, you will be asked if you wish to update the Global.mpt settings from
the old version of Project. Select the "Don't remind me of this again"
option and then click the No button. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale. So, if I read you correctly, I can't have both versions
installed at the same time -- the old 2002 with its global.mpt settings
and the new 2003 with its own global.mpt settings?
