Collaborating using Groupwise

Our company uses Novell Groupwise 6 as its email system.
It is MAPI compliant and we have tried to set up email
collaboration as instructed via WGsetup.exe. The result
is that when a task update is published, Project sends an
email with an MS Project attachment with "*.mtm" extension
that cannot be opened. Additionally, all literature
states that only the project manager needs the application
installed, so even if Project would open it, how do users
without Project accomplish it? The Collaborate/Issues
report indicates that we need to use the server version,
but this is not what is indicated anywhere else.

Thanks in advance,
Mark C

WGSETUP is an add-in for Outlook that allows it to read the .mtm file
extension. I've never seen a Groupwise installation where it was able to
read those files. Novell may claim MAPI compliance but I have my doubts
that it is 100% compliant. The only non-MS products that I've seen work has
been Lotus Notes and that has been limited. Sorry....

Mark:

In this case, compatibility has nothing to do with MAPI compliance. Notes
does not support the workgroup add in.

Do you mean all GW users, or all users that need to
collaborate? For our test, both the sender and recipient
had run WGsetup.exe
