Collaboration Problem

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the response. My accounts are OK, they are set
the same way you mentioned in you response. The problem
is
that some information has been entered incorrectly in
the
_ Collaborate > Collaboration Options. I have the right
information in _ Collaboration tab_ which is the URL and
the User account but in the General Tab, the _ User name
_
was entered incorrectly and I wanted to change that, but
it is grayed out and cannot be changed, even when I
deleted all the accounts except my Windows account.
I uninstalled and then reinstalled the project but it
still had all the settings from before. It also gives me
an error message that says there is a problem with the
Global Template. I tried Repair from the Help menu but it
didn’t work. Is there any way you can reinstall
Project
and have a fresh start.

The other problem I have that started the whole thing is
that every time I want to connect to the server I get
this
error message:

Unexpected Server response.
Microsoft project server has returned an unexpected
response.

And then I get the error message that I’m not
authorized
to see the page. I have Project Pro on my laptop and I
connect to the server fine and every thing is OK .but
this
is a different computer I’m having problems with. I
thought it might be the Collaboration Problem.

I’m sorry this is getting toooo long.

Do the following:

1. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Microsoft Project Server Accounts
2. Select your user account then click the Properties...
button
3. Edit the information for your account, including selecting the "Use
Windows user account" option and selecting the "Set as default account"
option, and then click OK
4. Select the "Manually control connection state"

option
and then click OK

5. Close MS Project Pro, then reopen MS Project Pro again

From the Microsoft Project Server Accounts dialog box, select your account
and then click the Connect button. This should take

of your problem,
