Collabsible Lists

Ken

Hey all,

I'm sitting at my desk here reading my FrontPage 2003
manual and it's telling me that there is no way to show a
collapsible list as a hyperlink, the only way to indicate
such a list even exists is to tell visitors that it's
there. That's not the desired effect I'm looking for.

Now I've seen this done on many other webs including
Microsofts' own and I would like to know how to do it on
mine as well. How is this accomplished in FrontPage2003?
TIA

Folks:

In case you missed my earlier post, check this out - a quick and easy way to
get expandible lists. This method solves the problem with FP's collapsible
list code that is NOT FF/NN compatible, and will therefore work in all
browsers.

http://www.murraytestsite.com/collapsiblelist.htm

It uses some CSS, and the FP (2003) Change Property behavior.

Hi -- following on with collapsible lists in Frontpage...
Can someone please advise regarding formatting:
I would like the bullet & heading of my collapsible list to be one colour
when collapsed, and change to a different colour when expanded... Any advice ?

Thanks !

Hi Kate,

If you set up classes for expnanded and collapsed you can use the change
property behavior to switch between them. The name of the property you want
to change is className (case sensitive)

Hi Jon,
Thanks for your reply. I am relatively new to FrontPage [and web design in
general!] , so what you've advised doesn't make complete sense to me....
Can I make this change from the FrontPage design view by altering the
Behavior, or do I need to work in code ? ...
If you could give me a more detailed explainiation, it would be much
appreciated..!

... I will do some more research on classes in the meantime....
