I would like to create links within a document where I can click on a word and store other, longer information in that word - like in an FAQ where you can 'turn down' a question and have the answer stored 'within' it. Others need to be able to do this on the document as well, so outline view isn't good enough. I'd like these links to be part of the document itself. I've got a table full of short entries, and there are some longer 'notes' I'd like to store in some of these cells, without making the cells enormous and the table unreadable.

Sorry, but that is an HTML behavior not available in regular documents -
Word or otherwise. One option which comes close is to insert Comments with
Balloons turned OFF in Track Changes Preferences & Comments on Rollover
turned on in View Preferences - but those are not document-specific
settings. Each user would have to invoke them.
