Collecting Data Directly to a table

I am currently stuck on a way to collect data to an access datatbase via a 3rd party application, (FYI i am not a programmer) essentially i am looking for a way to create a macro that will start an application export the file and transfer the data onto a datbase, as a total begginer i was wondering if this was possible and if so how?? (sorry if this seems vague if anyone thinks they can help i would appreciate it and am happy to claify any points)
