Collecting together notes

Dear Friends, can you advise...

I would like to be able to take notes and append a flag (or mark in some
other way on advice) various items for various forums and people. Is it
possibel to "gather" all red flagged items to send to my deputy, and gather
all blue flags as items to carry to an agenda for a meeting etc. Is flagging
the best way to achieve this, or can I delgate/mark these items in some other
way that i am not aware of? I don't yet have one-note, but wish to know how
to best achieve this functionality so that I don't waste my investment in a
tablet+ one-note to find that I can't do this.

OneNote does have Note Flags which should provide the function you're
looking for. There are 25 of them in 2003 and more coming in 2007.

I use the note flags in a similar manner at work. I would sit in meeting
<x> and take notes, and when a topic comes up that I must discuss with
person <y> I flag that note with the customized Note Flag I"Ve designated
fo person <y>.

I can then view all Note Flags and pull out the ones related to person
<y> and use that as an informal agenda when I meet next with person <y>.

If you're worried about losing the money on software which may not fit
you needs, there is a free trial download of OneNote 2003 and the public
beta for OneNote 2007 has just been released.
