color banding in excel 2007

When I click on a cell I would like it not only to hightlight that cell but
also the column and row up to their intersection point. I found a way to do
it in earlier versions of Excel but not 2007. Is there a way?

How did you do it in earlier versions?

Maybe you used Chip Pearson's RowLiner add-in?
