Color coding macro

I'm working in project 2003. I need to highlight certain tasks assigned to
my customer in red text. So, when we have a task for them the whole line is
red. We are importing 12+projects into a master plan so a macro would be
enormously helpful. Thanks Jill.

From the insert menu, select "column" choose the "Contact" column. Put your
customer name in that field for all the tasks that you want to show in red.

Next from the project menu select "filters" then "more filters"
Make a new filter on the "contact" column with the criteria that the value
"equals" the customer name.
There is a box to check for the filter which says "highlight" Make sure that
box is checked. Then apply.
Next, from the format menu, select "text styles" then in the drop down list
find "highlight" set the font color to red.
click OK.

Now anything which matches your filter will be shown in red.

Hi Jack, thanks so much, I tested and it worked perfectly. Can I continue to
highlight fields with different criteria and color, for example customer
fields in red, network in green, helpdesk desk in pink...thanks, Jill. (maybe
catch a pail of water some time? ;-)
