Color Coding Multiple Projects in One Master Calendar

Hi All -

I have been struggling with this for years and really need to find a
solution.

I have imported 5 or so different projects into one master calendar -
the goal is to print a calendar view with all tasks for all each
easily identifiable project visible on one calendar. In an ideal
world, i would assign a different color to each project, and be able
to see a rainbow of all the required tasks on each day of the week.
i really need to see color coded projects in is the calendar view -
all font and bar colors of one project red, another project blue, etc.

Is this at all possible in Project 2000? If Project 200 does not
offer this feature, do any subsequent versions of project offer it?
if so, which ones?

I greatly appreciate any help or guidance that can be offered.

Best -

Project 2007 offers Cell Background Formatting so that you can change the
cell background colors for tasks. Using this feature, you could color code
the Cell Background Color using a different color for each project. With
earlier versions of Microsoft Project (such as 2000, 2002, and 2003), you
can only change the text color, but not the background color of the cells.
Hope this helps.

Hi Fuzz,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

If you are referring to the Calendar View, you can't colour code the tasks,
sorry :(

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
