Color of Tabs to Worksheets

I have a worksheet with a large number of tabs, in several categories.
Each category was segregated visually in Excel for Windows, but on
opening the workbook in Office for Mac, this was lost. Most
frustrating.

Can one change the color of worksheet tabs in Excel 2004 for Mac (I'm
using v11.1.1 (050201), using OS X v10.4.2) in the same way that one
can in Excel for Windows? Either changing the color of the background
(as in Windows) or the color of the font on the tab would work for me,
although I would prefer a solution which can migrate back and forth
between my Mac and my colleagues' Windows machines. Any help would be
much appreciated.

No. This feature was added in WinXL 2002, but hasn't made it to MacXL.
