i am working with a brochure in publisher. the brochure
is done with various shades of blue and black. when i go
to print it out, it is coming out purple and black. i am
using a canon 3200 printer and tried printing it ps and
pcl. neither one is working. also, i have 2 eps files
that are printing with lines around them that are not
showing up on screen. i tried linking them and embedding
them and that also is not working. someone please help
me!

Is the 3200 Canon a Postscript printer?
If it is not a PS printer, then the EPS or PS will only print the low res
TIF preview.

Have you setup your colour profiles correctly?

Are you using genuine Canon ink?

Check to see if you are using the latest version of the printer driver.

Blues turning violet or purple is a common symptom of 'generic'
conversion of colours from RGB to CMYK, where 'true' blue becomes 100&
cyan plus 100% magenta. If your Publisher document uses the RGB colour
model, change it to CMYK, adjust the blues as may be required (100% C
and 30-60% M would be typical for saturated blues) and see if the
fidelity improves. As for the other problem, I don't know what to
suggest except to make sure no outline or frame has been chosen in the
picture-formatting menus.
