I work for an IT conculting firm and have a customer using XP Home SP2 and
Outlook 2003 (SP2) that has developed a strange problem that recently
developed. When opening Outlook, the color quality for the display drops from
32-bit down to 8-bit. When you exit Outlook the display returns to 32-bit or
True Color. I also discovered that with Outlook open, I could go to the
Display Properties and change the Color Quality from 8-bit back to 32-bit and
apply it and the display would in fact change to 32-bit and look normal once
more.
I thought I would research before uninstalling & reinstalling Office. I was
hoping to avoid that if I could discover the cause and/or a fix.
Any thoughts?
