Color scheme of hyperlinks

I have read various posts on changing a color scheme for hyperlinks. Even
though I have followed the steps as oulined and selected another color, the
default "purple" always shows up for a followed link. Here is my site
www.trishephoto.com. It is under construction... The link to my blog works
ok, but I don't like the purple showing up as the followed link.

Also, do the photos seem to take too long to load? Most are around 155 KB,
but one is 553 KB.

Publisher 2003.

Thanks!

In Publisher 2003 go to Format > Color Schemes > Custom Color Schemes >
Custom Tab change Hyperlink and Followed hyperlink colors, OK.

Yeah, images are slow loading. Takes about 5 minutes per meg on this
machine. See your other post for more comments...

Followed hperlink: grey underline. On web: Hyperlink grey...followed

Maybe Publisher insists on a different color for the followed link than the
original...and you really should have a different followed color. How else
can a person tell if they went to that page in your site, if the color isn't
different? Try a different followed color than grey that you can live with.
And what's wrong with purple anyway? <g>

Hi David,

Took your suggestion and download firefox...interestingly the grey/grey for
the hyperlink/followed hyperlink works in FF but in IE it is still purple.
At this point I'll just live with what each one delivers...Wow, FF loads
REALLY fast!

Also, why do some links work in IE and don't in firefox...if there is a
short explanation. Here is another site I created where links work in IE and
don't in Firefox. www.3795castlebutte.com (FF: The gallery link works on
the "details" page, but the link to PDF doesn't and on the next two pages,
neither gallery link works...) I also understand it doesn't work with Safari
either.

Thanks again for all your help.

Trish,

Some things you just can't figure out, and have to live with or design
around...maybe this is one of those times.

I see the pdf link not being active in FF, and I would guess that you have
the text box with the link grouped with other design elements. If you try to
select the text in FF, you will note that it has all been turned into an
image, which kills the link. Try ungrouping, and that should fix it. This
also happens if you use a bottom navbar built by the Pub navbar wizard, and
is fixed by ungrouping.

I wasn't sure where the other links were, but I would look for the same
"grouping" issue. If that isn't it, post back the specific link to that
page, and those links. Generally if you get a page to work correctly in FF,
it will also work ok with Safari.
