color separation in PDF

Publisher 2003
Adobe Acrobat Professional 6

I can't print PDFs in spot-color-separation (as I did with Publisher 2000
and Acrobat 4/Destiller with no problems!).
Publisher-Color separation works if I print on my local Laserprinter. The
..pub-File also runs with no problem als combinded PDF.
If color separation is marked, the printing stops with the error message:
"Document could not be printed".
Do I have to give special settings in the Adobe Acrobat Printer-settings?
any help is appreciated!

Do you have a PostScript printer defined?
