I'm makeing a spreadsheet dealing with money and I forgot how to make it
so that if a number turns up to be negative it becomes red. Can someone
remind me?

Hi unregistered!

Use:

Format > Cells > Currency
Select from the negative options.

You can make changes to the default use of - or () and positioning etc
of $ symbol using:

Start > Control Panel > Regional Settings > Currency Tab
