Working on a remote MAPI folder, I can set a colored flag (say, blue) on a
message. However, if I move that message to another MAPI folder, the flag
gets "reset" -- it now appears as a red flag with a clear border... and if I
arrange the messages by Flag, the message is grouped under "unflagged."
Clearly MAPI folders can contain color-flagged messages... I can set the
colored flag initially, that works. And I can move the message to a local
(non-MAPI) folder, and it will retain its flag. AND, I can move a
color-flagged message from a local (non-MAPI) folder to a MAPI folder, and
the message will retain its flag.
The only trouble is when I move a color-flagged message from one MAPI folder
to another MAPI folder... the message flag gets "reset". Both the MAPI
folders are on the the same server (I only use one server).
I'm using Outlook 2003 SP2. Has anybody else seen this? Is there a way to
get Outlook to preserve the colored flag?
