colour

There is no colour in the 'fill box' in Microsoft Word to use or in the 'line
colour' box. I can go to formatting and colour fill in using the 'shading'.
But i want to be able to use the icons at bootom of my screen. How do i
correct this? I'm positive it has worked in the past. Help!

The icons show whatever you last selected manually from the pallette.

If you are referring to the buttons on the Drawing toolbar, these Line and
Fill buttons are for drawing objects only. If you're trying to color borders
or shading in a table or text paragraph, you need the Border Color and
Shading Color buttons (with the same button images) on the Tables and
Borders toolbar.
