Column Labels

I like to use F5 to locate columns.
I have migrated from MSWorks where a lot of my columns have
Cell reference numbers eg FP1 FP2 etc

Do I have to rename all these column labels?
or is there a workaround?

and..

When I carry out a filter, the result displays,
is there to "hide" any further random rows from the dsiplay?

Thank you

Are you simply trying to jump to a known cell? If so, look on your formula
bar. The first white space to the left of where you would type function,
type the cell reference, i.e. AA22, and it will jump to that cell.

G'day Stacy,

Yes, that is exactly what I am trying to do.
The Cell's label is FP1 (finishing position 1)
but of course, this clashes with a <real> cell reference,
and I jump to an unused, unknown cell.
I have 245 columns so I need to adhere to a well-known lexicon.

In MSWorks I would get around this by enclosing the cell label with '
excel no, I just wondered if there was a workaround.

Otherwise I shall have to rename a group of labels as "FPa, FPb" etc etc
Best Regards
Rodney
