column width PC to Mac

Hello,

My businesspartner made a calender in Excel (on a PC windows 1998). As
I open his file in my Mac Ibook, Excel 2004, the row and column width
is changed. (the column width are all different in his sheet).
Because we both want to change the calender (and save it as HTML-page
to upload it on the internet) this is a problem.
(That it is different on the screen is no real problem)
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

I'm not surprised that this is a problem, especially with what may be an
older PC version of Excel. Some things to check are that both machines have
the same versions of the Microsoft fonts. Use something like Arial that is
common across platforms. Then it is simply a matter of checking the final
result on each machines and making small changes until it arrives at a
suitable compromise. You may have better luck upgrading the PC operating
system and Excel to the latest versions.

Hi Nico,

Try this:

In the File > Save As Wen Page dialog box there is a Web Options button.
Click it. Then click on the Pictures tab and set it to 96 dots per inch.

Does that help?
