Columns and graphics

I have a 4-6 page document in single column with graphics within the
document. I now want to convert to a 3 column document.

I want to place the graphic at certain points within the 3 column
document and then have more text after the graphic. I have tried
column break which allows me to insert the graphic, but I don;t know
how to resume the remaining text directly after the graphic. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Not entirely sure what you mean, but you have choices about how the graphic
appears in Word. If you right click it and choose Format Picture, then the
layout tab, you can choose either to have it as "Inline with text" (which
makes it effectively a paragraph in the document) or to have it with the
text wrapping round it (square or tight) or to have it in front of or behind
the text. (And clicking Advnaced gives a few more possibilities.) Does
choosing any of those options help?
