columns in groups

Morning.

The questions concerns Excel 11.2.5 and MacOS X 10.4.7.

Is it possible to expand/collaps grouped columns to/from the *right*
side instead of the left side?

TIA and kind regards. Friedrich

I'm not entirely sure about what you are asking. However, if columns are
merged, than the column is sized by dragging the right border. The left
border is actually the right border of the column to the left. So, what you
seem to be asking for is already the standard mode of operation.

I'm not sure I have it right, either. But if you want to group data by
columns rather than rows, you can put your data in columns, then
highlight the columns, then choose "Data->Group and Outline." Then,
what you do is choose "columns" from the list. Make sure NOT to choose
the first cell, that contains the main group.

HTH.
