Columns, line numbering

L

I'm trying to create a court transcript with three columns. Each column is to
have its own "repeat header row". Name. English Translation. Original
Language.

Column should be [width 1.5] [space .5 fixed] [width 2.47] [space .5 fixed]
[width 2.47]. How do you create this? I have tried, but i can't get the
width/space to stick, they keep changing.

Also, how to you bounce from one "cell" to the next. I don't want the
sentences to form little paragraphs by wrapping the text into one cell. Each
sentence should have its own line number. I don't want the text to wrap
around and form little paragraphs.

I do have an example of this, but it's in WordPerfect. I'm trying to achieve
the same thing in Word. If you need, I can email it.

Thanks for you help.

I'm not sure I'm explaining this correctly.

To start with, you disable auto resizing (Table Properties | Table |
Options). Start a new row for each sentence by tabbing out of the last cell.
