Columns within columns

I am printing a 11x17 leaflet with 3 columns printed back to back. It is
folded in thirds so the columns are:
Page 1: column 5, 6, 1
Page 2 column 2, 3, 4

Questions:
1) How do I created columns within the above columns?
2) How do I make column 4 continue to page 1 column 5?

Column 4 will continue to Column 5 without any problem provided you're using
newspaper-style columns. All your columns will flow as needed except that
Column 1 will have to be on its own. You can't create columns within
columns, but you can use tables or tabs to format tabular material in the
