Columns

John Scott

I have a small problem which I hope someone will be able to provide me
assistance with.

I have the page set up with two columns I have inserted graphics in column
one and now wish to insert type at the top of column 2.

Alas when ever I attempt to tab to the top of the page word creates a new 2
column page and places in the inset icon on at the top of column 1 on page
2.

How do I place the inset in the correct location i.e. at the top of column
2 on page 1?

I have tried to do it manually using the mouse but to no avail. I am using
Office 2000. on an Win XP machine.

TIA
John

You could use a table with no visible borders

What you need to do is choose Insert - Break - and choose column break, you
will now be placed at the top of column 2
