COM Addin functions from Property Page OCX

What is the accepted method to call functions in the main COM Add-in DLL from the property page ocx

I have error reporting functions on the dll that I need to call in the ocx

Is it forbidden to rebuild the functions in the OCX? Both the DLL and OCX are in a vb6 project group.

I usually create public Properties or Methods in the designer that then can
be accessed from the OCX by that method. myObj.MyProperty or .MyMethod can
be called that way.
