So, I'm stuck. I have an add-in for Powerpoint written in Visual Studio
Professional 2005. The program runs fine on Win2K (user/admin) all version
of Office, XP (user/admin) all versions of Office and Vista (admin) all
versions of Office. However, with UAC enabled, the plug-in will not load
when run as a normal user account.
When I select the Add-ins option and try to manually turn it on, I get a
message telling me that a specific registry key cannot be modified. From
doing some searching online, the only suggestion that I've found is just run
using the Run As Administrator option when starting PowerPoint -- but that's
simply not an option. The general setup in our office with vista is general
user accounts so users cannot run as administrator, even if they wanted to.
So, I'm looking for ideas because I can't seem to find any information
anywhere.
Thanks
