FWIW, I've been trying to get a com addin that works for 2000, 2002 and 2003
and have been unsuccessful.
I finally gave up on 2000
My add-in has a new class for "on change" events and I was unable to get it
to work on both platforms.
If your add-in does not do anything fancy, then you might be able to get it
to work on both platform
