combine multiple calendars into one view

I have recently given up waiting for an ideal calendar for my iPhone that
would utilize the category colors of my Palm Desktop software. The only way
I have figured out how to have different colors is to create multiple
calendars in Outlook. On the iPhone, everything appears on one calendar, but
in Outlook, they are all separate. Is there a way to create a master
calendar that would unite all of these for viewing on the desktop, yet keep
them separate for my iPhone? I don't want to transfer the data to a master
calendar; I just want a calendar that will pull the data from all of my other
calendars.

Outlook 2007 allows overlaying multiple calendars. What version are you
using?

Why not just use one calendar and assign categories to the events? You can
then use custom views to show events from each category or a subset of the
categories.

I'm using the 2003 version. The reason I can't just assign categories is
because the iPhone calendar doesn't recognize them.

I have been unable to find a solution on the forums. Apple has yet to make a
calendar that can recognize the categories.

well, if no one there has a solution then the one you are using is about the
best you can do. There are tools you can use to sync the calendars into one,
as long as you can avoid syncing it with the phone.
