combine text from two columns to one

A

Andrea

I would like to combine text from Column A and Column B to appear as it would
in column C. My columns appear as follows:

A B
C

Bazooka BAZ12113
BazookaBAZ12113
JVC JVC23998
JVCJVC23998
Metra MTA23990
MetraMTA23990

.......and so on. I am not sure how to combine this text; excel seems to
want to apply some mathematical formula. My columns are up to several
thousand cells long in range. Is there any easy way to do this? There HAS to
be!! Please help!!

Put this formula in C1:

=A1&B1

and then just copy it down. An easy way to do this is to select C1
once you've put the formula in, and then double-click the fill-handle
- this is the small black square in the bottom right corner of the
cursor. This will copy the formula down for as many contiguous data
items as you have in column B.

Hope this helps.

Hi

To combine text in A1 and B1 use this:

=A1&B1

Then copy the formula down your range.

Hopes it helps.
