Combining calendars/mailboxes

Hi,

Searched around but couldn't find an answer to this... I also posted a
message in mac.office not realizing that there was an entourage
specific group... sorry about that:

I have two accounts within Entourage (one POP and one Exchange). In
windows Outlook I can have the mail and calendar events combined into a
single view (ie. One Inbox for both POP and exchange and one Calendar
or both normal and exchange events).

Is there a way to do this in Entourage? I really don't like having two
Inboxes... and even worse, I don't like having two different calendars.

Thanks in advance!

Billy.

Hi Billy,

no, Entourage cannot do that. You can open a separate main window
(File>New>Open New Main Window) to view each calendar in its own window, but
it's nowhere near as convenient as Outlook's feature. Let Microsoft know
that you want that feature by clicking on Help>Send Feedback on Entourage
and then leaving your feedback.

You can create a Custom View to display all of your inboxes in one window.
Go to File > New > Custom View, and create a view like this:
NAME All Inboxes
ITEM TYPES ˆ Messages
LOCATION All Folders
CRITERIA Match if any criteria are met
Folder is Inbox (On My Computer)
Folder is Inbox (IMAP Account)

Click OK to save your Custom View. Then, in the Mail part of Entourage,
under "Mail Views", select "All Inboxes". It may take a moment to generate
the Custom View, but after that it should update rather quickly.

Unfortunately, there's no way to do something similar for the Calendar view
unless you want the events displayed in a list form.

Ideal! Thank you for this. I was fooling around with custom views
trying to get them to do just this.

I think that the list view of Calendar events might be fine... but
playing with this custom views I haven't been able to get a view that
combines both calendars. Can you illuminate me?

Thanks again!

I'm glad it helped.

Do you have a Custom View called "All Events" under the "Calendar Views"
folder? That should do it. If not, you can create one:

NAME All Events
ITEM TYPES ˆ Calendar Events
LOCATION All Calendars
CRITERIA Match if any criteria are met
Category is None
Category is not None
Thanks again!

You're welcome. Good luck.
