Combining Outline Lists

I'm trying to combine two different outline lists into one. The two outline
lists are:
1
1.1
1.1.1

and

1)
a)
(i)

The desired outline would be:
1.1
1.1.1
a
i
(1)

Any suggestions on how I could achieve the desired outline would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance.
