Combining reviewed documents

I am using word 2007 with VIsta. I am having a problem when I use the
"Combine" feature to combine multiple versions of a document that has been
reviewed by different people. If more than one person has made a change to
the same word, all changes are inserted in the new document with no spaces
between them, for instance "becomesbecome." Using track changes if I select
"accept change" it accepts the new combined term. How do I get these changes
to appear as separate words so I can choose which word I want to accept and
which I want to reject?

When you use the Combine dialog box try clicking More and in the Show
Changes section under "Show changes at" select "Character Level". That may
help with changes to the same word.
