Combining to data structures with a key

Is it possible to link (in SQL terms JOIN) two data structures in infopath?
my main data source is from an access database and the second is embedded
within the XML form file. I have a common key in both structures.

I have not yet found an good way to join the two structures so I can view
both related sets of data within one recurring section.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

thanks, Dave

hi,

I don't know if it's possible but I want to give you an advice all
things that you can do outside infopath do it.

So I advice you to make the table that you wan't in infopath in SQL and
after import it in infopath.

If someone else has another idea?Post or correct me

thanks, I would do it that way if I could. Unfortunately part of the data
that I need to show in the view is within the XML file. I need to find a way
to join that data with the data I get from my main data source.

Follow-up question/comment:

Basically if I were able to determine the context (i.e.) of the 1st group
within the recurring section or table I could filter the 2nd group displaying
only the items I need based on the filter.

I really do not have an option to process it all in SQL before Infopath sees
it.
