Combo Box: Database marked as Read Only

S

Susan Quinn

General Information
Using Office 2003 in a corporate setting
Users access templates from a network template folder via File Menu, New

Problem
The Word file containing the table that populates the Cascading Combo Boxes
sits on a server that all users have read/write access to. One user accesses
the template then a second person accesses the same template they get a Read
Only message for the Word file. It is possible to stop this happening? I need
to roll this out to 15 offices so need it to be seamless for them.

If you are the same poster who asked a suspiciously similar question under
the username "SuzyQ" earlier today, please see the responses to your
previous post. Simply asking the same question in different words in a new
thread isn't likely to get you a better or quicker response. However,
providing the additional information that's been requested might secure you
some assistance.

I agree and appreciate totally what you are saying.

I have been unable to post for the last three months and could find no help
as to why this could be. Yesterday in frustration I set up a new logon to see
if that would help. My first post was still not visible to me four hours
after I posted it. So I presumed it had disappeared like the ones I had tried
to do towards the end of last year.

Even under my new logon it was still not visible at the end of my work day
yesterday.
