Combo Box Display

I'm looking for the way to display a list of 5 entrys from many (it's a year
display) in a combo box but have the default value be the third in the list
when the drop down is selected, so that the previous years would be an easy
selection. I have the List Rows set correctly but I don't know how to
position the default value to not be top of the list.

Set the default value of the combo box to this:

=[NameOfComboBox].ItemData(2)

I haven't looked for a better way so your mileage may vary ...

With focus on your combobox you can use SendKeys to send a couple of
DownArrows. There is a better and safer version of SendKeys at
www.mvps.org/access
